Best Paris photo locations
The wonderful gift that Paris offers you
Eiffel Tower
She is everywhere, and you simply cannot visit Paris without seeing the Iron Lady—yes, that’s her nickname.
Rightly considered one of the most beautiful man-made structure in the world, the Eiffel Tower can be admired from many different viewpoints. As photographers, we love exploring several of these spots to create unforgettable memories with you.
Let’s break them down:
First of all, probably the most well-know location: the iconic Trocadéro platforms, offering one of the most scenic views on the Eiffel Tower. I absolutely love it—this is definitely in my top 3.
On both sides, you’ll find stairs and gardens, giving us plenty of different creative options. I love the stairs—but you may have already noticed that by browsing the website, right?
I would also add the riverbanks, just a few minutes away. There are perfect complement to the previous locations. The Seine river brings a unique charm to the photos, and from this angle, the Eiffel Tower looks majestic and big!
Crossing the bridge, new perspective unfold. The opposite riverbank and its benches, Rue de Buenos Aires with its great café, and the world-famous Rue de l’Université, fantastic spot—only when it’s not too crowded. Early birds get the rewards.
A few minutes further, you’ll reach Rue de Monttessuy, another excellent location with the view on the Eiffel Tower. This one feels very urban and architectural, much like the Rue de l’Université.
Best time to go:
I always suggest sunrise, or early morning to avoid the crowd. Also, late afternoon.
The Louvre Museum
With the iconic pyramid surrounded by the fountains and the majestic architecture of the Louvre—built over more than 800 years—this is the most popular photo location in Paris after the Eiffel Tower. Modern, classy and timeless. Just like you.
Keep in mind that you are only a few minutes away from the Tuileries garden and Palais Royal, which means we’re truly spoiled with choices.
Best time to go:
Early morning and morning, the crowd is real after 10am
Avenue de Camoëns
Just a few minutes from Trocadéro, you’ll find one of my favorite spots to create meaningful Parisian images.
It offers a beautiful blend of classic architecture with the Eiffel Tower on the background.
The only drawback is that it can get busy quickly—but it’s always worth waiting for the perfect moment.
Best time to go:
Early morning and mid to late afternoon
Bir-Hakeim bridge
There are 37 bridges in Paris but only one like the Bir-Hakeim.
This metal bridge is a true architectural gem, offering a wide range of photo opportunities—with or without the Eiffel Tower on the background.
It works beautifully during morning session, late afternoon, and at night, when the lamps glow and the tower lights up.
Best time to go:
Early morning, but any time can be fine with overcast weather.
Ile Saint-Louis & Notre Dame
This area is one of the most historic and romantic in Paris.
Beyond the cathedral, you’ll find charming cobblestone streets, Parisian cafés, riverbanks, benches, lamp posts, cute colorful doors and beautiful bridges connecting both sides of the city. Every angle tells a story.
Perfect for morning sessions.
Best time to go:
I love morning session there, when the city wakes up.
But any time can be fine with overcast conditions
Montmartre
Want to feel you’ve stepped outside of Paris—while stil being in Paris? Montmartre is your place.
With its cobblestone streets, countless cafés and boutiques, street artist, stairways and the iconic Sacré Coeur, Montmartre is worth every moment.
This hilly neighborhood is perfect for a couples and families with older children.
I absolutely love being there in the morning—it feels like home.
Best time to go:
Morning is highly recommended but have done some of my best photos in the afternoon !
Alexander III bridge
Is this the most beautiful bridge in the world?
I don’t know—but some people definitely think so.
It is, without a doubt, one of the most elegant bridges in Paris. Golden statues, magnificent lamp posts, grand pillars on each sides, and plenty of space to move around. We can even see the Eiffel Tower in the background. And just a stone’s throw away, you’ll find the Petit Palais and its famous golden door.
A perfect addition to a multi-hour photo session, for example from Trocadero to The Louvre.
Best time to go:
Highly recommend in the morning and late afternoon and sunset.
Yes, many of the places mentioned above may already sound familiar—but Paris has so much more to offer.
Let’s not forget Place des Vosges, the Seine riverbanks, the Jardin du Luxembourg with its charming Médicis Fountain, the small charming streets around Panthéon, the stunning Tuileries Garden next to the Louvre, the elegant Palais Royal and the one and only Arc de triomphe.
And finally, what truly makes Paris for the Parisians: its cafés and terraces, where we can always stop to enjoy a drink, or two.
See you soon in Paris!
And there's more
Best time to go:
Whenever you are in Paris… with a preference for mornings.
